Travel Plans: 5 City Trips for 2020

In 2019, I had big plans when it came to city trips, but for some reason, too many things happened and I couldn’t really put those things into practice – sometimes, your priorities just shift. However, that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna make plans for 2020! Next to a trip to a concert in Berlin with my best friend next summer, I’d like to explore some new places. Here we go!

Spend a Weekend in Vienna

Vienna was on my bucket list for 2019 already, but for some reason it just didn’t happen as too many other things (like moving back to the Netherlands) simply got in the way. Shame I couldn’t realize this trip while still living in Munich, just a couple of hours drive away! However, I still really want to explore Vienna, and I am hoping it could be a reunion with the girls from Munich there.

Visit my Host Family in Paris

Paris was my first longer stay abroad, and will therefore always remain my first big love when it comes to cities. I once said that I was hoping to visit Paris every year, but as you might guess, that didn’t happen yet. Again, I am putting Paris on my bucket list and hope to be able to see my host family while being there, although it is always difficult to bring seven agendas together.

Girlstrip to Budapest

I’d love to go travel with my best friend again – and as we both haven’t been to Budapest yet, this might be the perfect place to go. It has been on my list in 2019 already, and it’s time to finally visit, I guess. Also, I have friends in Budapest, so I am hoping to see them after quite some time of only being in contact online because life got somehow in the way.

Be Nostalgic in Copenhagen

Another semester abroad, more fun memories and another country I haven’t visited in far too long: Denmark. My favourite thing to do would be to visit both Copenhagen and Aarhus, but I think that might not be realistic for one weekend. I’d love to go back to just enjoy the Danish way of life for a short time!

Visit Friends in Barcelona

When we moved from Munich back to the Netherlands, friends of us decided to move back to their homecountry, too, and now live in Barcelona. Perfect opportunity for us to visit, as I have never been before and really would like to go! Plus, as it is not always easy to keep in touch with friends from all over the world, I really hope to catch up on life with them over some good, Spanish tappas.
