Yes, that’s me wearing lightblue chinos and lace-up ballerinas. While jeans and sneakers have been my favorites for the past years (and basically as long as I can remember, to be honest), that’s not really a look that I could wear to the office here in NYC.
And as chinos are part of my daily looks for work here, it was just a matter of time until the first outfit post with me wearing something other than jeans came up. First, I had some problems finding chinos that can wear in the office and that I actually like, but after some time, I started to get used to it…and by now, I’d even consider them a serious alternative on days I don’t NEED to wear them.
This pair is one that I saw at Zara and directly knew it would be perfect – the color is just the right one, especially as most of my clothes are in grey and blue, combined with black and white. I combined them with my new laced-up ballerinas, I also totally fell in love with when I saw them in the store. Laced-up is one of the big trends for this summer, and these ballerinas are just in one of my favorite colors, too! Especially in combination with these chinos or a nice skirt, I just love my laced-up ballerinas…what do you think about this summer trend? (:
