Heute gibt es mal einen weniger erfreulichen Beitrag über unseren Wochenendtrip nach Mailand. Ich habe den Bericht ehrlich gesagt ein bisschen vor mir her geschoben, weil es die ganze Aufregung eigentlich gar nicht wert ist. Aber es ist ziemlich ärgerlich, und darum möchte ich eben doch noch darüber schreiben.
Maren und ich haben uns in Mailand für 13€ eine Milano Card gekauft. Die gilt für drei Tage, man darf die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen (das aber nur für zwei Tage) und hat angeblich jede Menge Vorteile damit. Unter anderem darf man an der kompletten Warteschlange vom Mailänder Dom vorbei, damit wirbt zumindest die Website. Darum haben wir die Karte aber auch gekauft. Außerdem bekommt man unter anderem in einem Laden 500 Gramm Nudeln umsonst, oder einen Kuchen.
Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass uns das ganze GAR NICHTS gebracht hat. Wir haben die Milano Card selbst nicht einmal nutzen können. Seit Februar gilt das „Skip the Line“ beim Dom nicht mehr. Milano Card wirbt aber immer noch damit – am Dom hat man davon also schon mal nichts. Auch die anderen Dinge erschienen uns ziemlich fragwürdig: besagte Nudeln und Kuchen waren nur in (laut unseren Reiseführern und Internet) recht teuren Restaurants bzw. einer Bäckerei umsonst, und dann auch nur, wenn man zu einem bestimmten Wert einkauft, und „nur so lange der Vorrat reicht“. Beides liegt nicht gerade direkt im Zentrum. Wir sind also nicht zufällig vorbei gekommen und hätten extra hinfahren müssen – das haben wir dann aber gelassen.
Auch die Free Ride mit Personal Driver gilt nur bis zu maximal 15€ (auch, wenn man zu zweit fährt und quasi zwei Karten hat) – und damit kommt man lange nicht überall hin. Auch darauf haben wir dementsprechend verzichtet. Wir haben uns nur Das letzte Abendmahl angeschaut, auch hier gilt die Milano Card nicht.
Angeblich ist auch die Busfahrt vom und zum Flughafen gratis. Der Nachteil: man bekommt das Ticket erst am Hauptbahnhof. Schade, für die Fahrt vom Flughafen ins Zentrum hat man also nicht so richtig viel (es sei denn, die Buchungsbestätigung wird akzeptiert. Wir sind aber nach Bergamo geflogen, da fährt der Bus nicht, und man bekommt nur 10% Rabatt. Eine Fahrt kostet aber sowieso nur 5€).
Mein Fazit: wir hatten von der Milano Card absolut nichts! Wir konnten nur das Ticket für Metro, Tram und Co nutzen, das kostet etwa 8 € für zwei Tage – ist bei anderen Anbietern aber auch für drei Tage oder länger mit im Preis drin. Ob da die anderen Vorteile besser sind, weiß ich nicht. Außerdem ist kaum ein Office der Milano Card am Wochenende geöffnet. Angeblich gibt es laut Website mehrere am Hauptbahnhof, allerdings waren entweder alle geschlossen (obwohl auf der Website stand, dass es geöffnet sein sollte) oder es war ein Ticketschalter – der Beamte wusste aber gar nichts davon, dass er auch für die Milano Card verantwortlich sein soll und konnte uns darum auch nicht weiter helfen.
Die Milano Card war für uns der totale Flop und ich kann es definitiv nicht weiter empfehlen! Nur, wer in Mailand sämtliche Museen besuchen möchte, könnte etwas davon haben – allerdings kann ich es nur empfehlen, sich auf den Seiten der jeweiligen Museen zu informieren, ob das wirklich stimmt. Generell sollte man auch auf der Website der Milano Card genau nachschauen – alles sieht auf den ersten Blick sehr verlockend aus, aber wenn man sich mehr Infos auf der Seite durchliest, gilt vieles nur mit Einschränkungen!
Dieser Post spiegelt meine persönliche Meinung wieder, die auf meiner Erfahrung am Pfingstwochenende 2015 basiert.
Es ist einfach nur ärgerlich, wenn man sich ein Ticket kauft und man dann das erwünschte, versprochene nicht bekommt. Dass Ihr da auch nur 2 Tage anstatt der 3 Tage fahren duftet ist sehr suspekt. Leider, hatte ich so was ähnliches in Barcelona auch und bin daher viel gelaufen
Das mit den zwei Tagen stand schon auf der Website – allerdings war es nicht auf den ersten Blick ersichtlich, und wir hatten es von der Seite so verstanden, dass man drei Tage fahren darf. Schade, aber da hätten wir einfach besser nachschauen können. Trotzdem, hätten wir das gewusst, hätten wir uns die MilanoCard definitiv gespart!

Kann mir denn jemand sagen, wie teuer eine Fahrt mit den ÖVM vom Mailand Malpensa Flughafen in die City ist?

Hey, danke für das Feedback! Also wie gesagt, es lohnt sich gar nicht! Leider kann ich dir beim Transport vom Flughafen nicht wirklich helfen – wir haben vorab ein Busticket von Bergamo nach Mailand City gekauft, das hat glaube ich etwa 15 Euro pro Person gekostet (also hin und zurück). Auch hier lohnt es sich vielleicht, ein bisschen online zu vergleichen, weil zumindest von Bergamo aus mehrere Busunternehmen gab…

We have three different kind of Cards 24H, 48H E 72H. If you needed 3 days of unlimited transport you had to buy Milano Card 72 hours.

Infact with a card that costs € 7 (24H) € or 19 ( 72H), you can get 30 Euro of free taxi drive .We think That this is a added value service.nConsidering that you had two cards you had to create two accounts in the app to get 4 drives 15 € each one .

Probably MilanoCard was not necessary for the kind of travel you projected, or maybe you had not occasion to appreciate all the benfits offered by the card. Anyway we are very sorry for your negative experience.

Thanks for the answer, but I guess I have to clarify something: We had the 72 hour card and the transport was limited to only two days so we had to buy an extra card. We did almost all of the touristic things that the Milano Card uses for their marketing, but either the discount / advantage was not available or it just wasn’t an advantage compared to people who didn’t have the Milano Card. The things you would get for free / a discount on were mostly limited or completely out of the way of everything else that tourists would like to see. Good job guys, the card is completely useless and doesn’t help in any way – especially as you don’t need the taxis most of the time as public transport is fine (or the taxis are not available).
I was in Milan on July and I used Milanocard , my experience was good . I visited Duomo and La Scala and at both of them i received the discount promised and at Pizzeria 12 Gatti obtained the free menù.
Anyway, i will come back in Milan on March, do you have any idea/opinion about the tour of San Siro Stadio ?

The problem is, that you get the same discount with a student card so you don’t need the Milano Card for that – at least, that is what they told us when we were there. Plus, the main marketing is that you can skip the line at Duomo, which is not necessary when you are willing to take the stairs and what they don’t accept anyway.

I have the same experience but even worse!! By mistake I bought the Milanocard 72hour card twice, because between first payment via credit card their website was down (technical problems apparently!!) and I thought it had not worked so stupidly bought it AGAIN. All communication after that was unbelievable; no refund possible, outrageously anonymous and unfriendly emails not even addressing me with my name, just standardised automatic answers. I have instructed my lawyers to deal with this case I want my money back! Thanks for posting your experience. Hopefully gets read by a lot of others to prevent them from this ‚deceiving‘ company and not to buy this useless card!

Es lohnt sich einfach wirklich gar nicht…aber an sich braucht man da gar keine extra Karte buchen, man kommt auch ohne (und mit Studentenausweis) extrem gut zurecht! 🙂
Ich kann das nur bestätigen, wir hatten nur Probleme mit der Karte… man kommt weder gratis auf das Dach der Galleria Vittorio Emanuele noch erhält man Rabatte in den Museen (zumindestens bei denen wo wir es versucht haben)
Wirklich schade, dass sich daran immer noch nichts geändert hat!
